Obituary of Rose Smith Wilmoth

Church Hill - Rose Bernice Smith Wilmoth, 70 0f Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Hawkins County Medical Center following a long illness. Born in Sullivan County, Bernice had lived in Hawkins County since she was 6 years old. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Wilmoth; daughter, Rhonda Dobbs; parents, E. R. and Lizzie Thacker Smith; sister, Opal Weems; brothers, Ott Smith, Frank Smith, Fred Smith, Bud Smith, Ray Smith and James David Smith. Bernice is survived by her sons, Steve Sayler & wife Rachel, Doug Sandidge & wife Angel and Scottie Dykes & wife Lisa; special granddaughter, Chelsie Dykes; special grandson, Nathaniel Sayler; grandchildren, Zachary Blizzard, Jonathan Sayler, Thomas Baker and Hannah Sayler; brothers, Mack Smith and wife Lolita, and June Smith; special aunt, Bertha Johnson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Music will be provided by Seth Woods. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Winegar Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Michael Smith, Nathaniel Sayler, Scott Derrick, Justin Crawford and Doug Sandidge. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Wilmoth family.
