Obituary of Mark Steven Bellamy

Church Hill - Mark S. Bellamy, 58 of Church Hill, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his home. Born in Kingsport on September 23, 1955, he was the son of the late Ray P. Bellamy and Mary Geneva Dotson Bellamy of the West Carters Valley community in Church Hill, TN. He graduated from Dobyns-Bennett in 1973 and later graduated from the University of Tennessee. His love of music fulfilled his life from an early age and it was an enjoyment to hear all his tales from being on the road with several top name performers. His insight into the up and coming acts was one of amazement. Mark was a people person and had many friends whom he loved and enjoyed. He owned and operated Bellamy Apartments and Mobile Homes Estates in West Carters Valley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Samuel Earl. Mark is survived by several cousins and many very close friends, "The Crew". A memorial service will be held for Mark at a later date. A special thank you is given to Gary Wayne Johnson and Lorrie Baskette for the care given to Mark. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Bellamy family.
