Obituary of Ronald Robert Bond

Ronald Robert Bond, 79, of Blountville passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on May 12, 1944 in Toms Creek, Virginia to the late Alex Carson and Violet Richardson Bond. Ronald served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a brick layer for over 40 years. Ronald was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching sports especially UT, Chicago Bears, and the Chicago White Sox. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Dave Bond.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Julie Bond; three children, Terry Bond, Sherry Bond and husband Robert Duffey and, Aaron Bond and wife Dennese; grandsons, Timothy Middendorf Jr. and wife Kayla, Jared Bond and wife Betsy; Kyle Bond and wife Samantha; and Logan Bond and fiancé Sierra; great grandchildren, Tyler Middendorf, Justin Middendorf, Annabelle Bond, Damon Bond, Maddux Bond, Liam Bond, and Emily Middendorf; brothers, Sidney Bond and wife Vicki, Mickey Bond and wife Virginia, Terry Bond and wife Jane, and Jeff Bond; sisters, Jan Bond Killian and husband Ralph, Judy Norval, and Sue Martinez and husband Gill; along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3pm on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Freedom Church located at 1400 Windsor Avenue Bristol, TN.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer society.
