Obituary of Brenda Sue Alley

Brenda Sue (Begley) Alley, 71, Gate City, VA, of the Copper Creek Community, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her home.

Brenda was born on February 10, 1951 in Kingsport, TN, a daughter of the late Newford Begley and Pauline (Bartley) Begley. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Gate City, VA. She was a homemaker enjoying her flowers very much and humming birds. Brenda loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed her best friend and sister, Shirley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nita Johnson and brother-in-law, Roy Waye.

Surviving are her loving husband of over 49 years, David Alley; sons, Donnie Alley and wife Alicia and Ronnie Alley; grandchildren, Caleb and Carter; sister, Shirley Waye.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Scott County Funeral Home. Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Phil Whittemore officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, July 29, 2022 at Holston View Cemetery where family and friends are asked to assemble at 10:50 am.
