Obituary of Teresa Jane (Free) Vaughan

Teresa Jane (Free) Vaughan, 65, of Duffield, VA entered into rest on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Scott County, VA on June 10, 1956 and was of the Baptist faith. Teresa enjoyed her time as a nurse assisting residents at Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield, VA.  She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Evan Samuel Free.

Surviving are her mother, June (Bowen) Free;  loving husband of 47 years, Gene Vaughan;  daughters, Violet Vaughan and Elizabeth Free;  son, Suthers Vaughan;  grandchildren, Isaiah Vaughan, Giacomina Grace Vaughan, Hannah Vaughan, Sophia Free and Dominick Vaughan;  sister, Angela Crawford;  brothers, Larry Free, Edward Free, Vernon Free and Melvin Free;  nieces, Bridgette Sproles, Jessica Crawford and Mariah Free;  nephew, Lucas Free.

Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Scott County Funeral Home with her son, Suthers Vaughan providing an eulogy.  Evang. Philip Free, Bro. Carl Rogers and Evang. Garry Hood will officiate.
