Obituary of John Coyle

John Coyle, age 99, of Rogersville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Lake Bridge Health Care in Johnson City, TN. He was born a native to Hoboken, NJ and moved to Jupiter, FL with the love of his life, Dorina for 35 years, and finally moved to Rogersville, TN in 2009. John was a Veteran of the United States Military having proudly served his country in the Army and was a survivor of D-Day, and was there when our soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Zambellie and Mary Cella; and brother, James Coyle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50+ years, Dorina Coyle; sons, Joseph J. Jackson, Thomas T Jackson and John Thomas Coyle (Heather Darnell); grandchildren, Thomas George Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Alex Jackson, Caitlin Darnell and Megan Darnell; and great-granddaughter, Sylvia Rose.

A Military Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 performing military rites. All those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill at 1:45pm to go in procession.
