Dear Amy, Alyson, Avery, Janice, and Beth, Teneva and I are so sorry for your loss of Lee. He was the little brother I never had. I loved that man so very much and everything that he stood for. We were each other's wing man many times on a bunch of adventures. Most involved golf or UT games. I always knew he had my back. We had so much fun just being a couple of dumb hillbillies from East TN. Many a time we would be in a conversation about how we had been so blessed to be where we were in our marriages, jobs, and life in general. He was always quick to credit the Lord blessing us more than we deserved and he was correct. Anyone that encountered Lee was equally blessed by spending time with him. I can only imagine the time he is having with Jesus and his dad right now. I always called Lee a "mooch" as he could talk someone out of their most prized thing and they would think it was their idea! He talked our way into some pretty amazing experiences and I was lucky to be along for the ride. Lee had such a way with people and he made them know he genuinely cared. We are all better for knowing him. I will miss the random UT sport texts from him and going back and forth during a football game. I will miss him scaring me to death driving us to the games as he drove like a maniac. I will miss him asking us 10 times if we remembered the parking pass. He called me back in December on my birthday. I did not hear the phone and to my surprise, I had a voice mail of him singing happy birthday to "Dear Dirtbag". The Lord knew what he was doing by me missing that call so I could have it to keep forever. Attaching a photo of a fun day for the both of us with Coach Fulmer. Yes, we were just a couple of dumb hillbillies. But, oh what a time we always had. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. We love all of you all and are here if you need us for anything.
David and Teneva Phillips

Janice, Our prayer is that God wrap his loving and caring arms around you and the entire family during this most difficult time. Our hearts ache along side you, knowing that you have given so much already. The death of a child is undoubtedly a special kind of hurt. As Mary saw her son Jesus hanging on a cross and knowing there was not a thing she could do, did exemplify the same hurt mothers loosing their child does today. We have to remain faithful to the fact that some great day you will see Jesus and Lee again. Even though it will be hard, we must keep on keeping on. God Bless each of you.

I had the great pleasure of working with Lee for many years at Citibank. He was a great mentor but he was an even better friend. I miss our “working” lunches where we would go for taco Tuesday and he would get cheese quesadillas or his favorite cheese pizza from Rennas. “Take your time but hurry up” was a favorite saying. He loved sharing his faith and quizzing me on my current bible study. He always knew something I didn’t.

Precious Family continued prayers for you during this painful season you must walk through, but PRAISE God you will not walk alone- that is His promise, hold onto those promises...when you can not stand -He will give you strength, when you can not breath -He is the One who breathed life into you, when you can not go another step -that’s when He will carry you. Thank You Father for this precious family that we love...hear their hearts when they are too broken too cry out...turn their mourning to joy, tears into laughter, pain into praise in Your time Father. Bless each of them according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus name. We love each of you and are so sorry for your loss. In Christ, ><> Jeff & Lisa Lovin, Tony, Jessica, Averlynn & Aria Freeman <><

I have so many memories with Lee, he has been a good friend and mentor in many aspects of my life. Our Jamaica mission trip, when he packed his george forman grill and country ham so he had something he liked to eat, is probably one that we all still talk about. He was my brother in Christ, my Mustard Seed buddy, my boss/manager at Citi for a while, the one person who showed confidence in my capibility to do more in my career, my go to person for deep discussions about God, Faith and religious doctrine...and a truely good confidant and friend. I have always been humbled and had respect for Lee's willingness to share his faith and boldness of sharing the gospel with anyone he met. Who they were, thier position in society and career never stood in his way of making sure they knew where they could spend eternity with a simple prayer. Lee's love of the Lord could never be questioned, he walked the walk. His excitement when he talked about meeting Jesus was so very contagious and obvious. We have suffered a loss here on earth with Lee's passing, but Heaven gained one heck of a saint and soldier for the time when the Lord returns for His children.
Amy, Allison, Avery and family, you are in my prayers for peace, strength and comfort. Chris and I are here if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. We love you.

Lee let his light shine every day. Every time I saw him, we talked about family, Jesus Christ and the church. He was a true friend and I will remember him with happiness. His perseverance will serve as a motivation for me to keep walking the walk until I can see him again in heaven. Just a few more days to be filled with praise...
