Sad to hear of Ted’s passing. My Dad, Olan Jones, Sr, was was a nephew of Ted’s Dad, Ronald Stout, but due to the large families of that time they were born just a few weeks apart, lived next door to each other and grew up like brothers. So in later years my late brother Wayne and I visited quite a lot with Ted and his late brother Lynn. We lived in Kingsport and would occasionally spend the weekend in Block City with Uncle Ronald, Aunt Stella, and cousins Ted, Lynn, and Ann, usually a few times each summer up until about high school age. One time we bought an old car for fifteen dollars and drove it all over the back roads until it quit, left it and walked back home. We didn’t see each other very often over the years, but it was always great to bump into Ted somewhere and talk a while about the old days and his latest adventures. He was both a pleasant and entertaining conversationalist. I know the family has suffered a great loss and my wife Penny and I wish you strength, peace, and love in this difficult time.

Gladys and Family,
We are Deeply saddened to hear of Mr Stout's passing. We so enjoyed being your neighbors for so many years there in Horse creek and will Always Hold fond memories of the friendliness and Kindness shown to us throughout the years by Mr Stout .We Loved seeing him walking in the neighborhood with his Precious "Sugar"..He was always admired for having such a Neat home and taking care of his home and caring for the neighborhood with "Pride". There was no one else that our son Matthew enjoyed candidly chatting with in the neighborhood than Mr Stout and Sweet Gladys as well. Heaven is surely sweeter and I'm sure he will find his place at Jesus feet right near all the animals that He loved her on earth. Our prayer is that God will Open his arms and surround you with Peace and love in the next little while as you adjust to Mr Stout's passing..We are sending love and Continuous prayers of comfort your all's way. In Deepest Sympathies,Bobby and Kristi and Matthew Jones( former neighbors on Citation cr)..
