Obituary of Trina Leigh Cook
Trina Leigh Cook 42, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2019. She was born on June 15, 1977 and raised in Duffield before moving to Kingsport in 2004. Trina was of the Baptist faith and was baptized at Holy Mountain Baptist Church. She was an off-road enthusiast and enjoyed riding through the mountains in her jeep. She also enjoyed going to country concerts with her daughters. Trina was a loving mother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Scott Cook; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Martha Amburgey; maternal grandparents, Louis “Frank” and Leona Miller.
Survivors include her significant other, Ronald Daryl Zimmerman; daughters, Kristin Leona Fuson and her significant other Roger Townsend, Emily Shayne Fuson and husband Zachary Ray Marion, Lillian Rae Fuson; son, Douglas Scott Cook; parents, Johnny Ray and Claudia Velma Amburgey; brother, Johnny Louis Amburgey; along with a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor George “Kenny” Amburgey officiating.
Graveside service will follow at Logans Chapel UMC Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
