Ruth Price Green

Kingsport- Ruth Price Green made her entrance into Heaven to be with her precious husband of 74 years, Clell Francis Green, her son, Jimmy Don and his wife of 56 years, Delonia Joyner Green on Monday night (June 3, 2019).

Ruth was born September 13, 1920 in Rogersville, TN to her late parents, James Hamilton Price and America Hurd Price.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded  in death by her four brothers,  Edd, Milum, Earl, and Ben; five sisters, Alta, Minnie, Sybil, Eva and Lillian.

She was saved and baptized when she was nine years old at Hickory Cove Baptist Church in Rogersville, TN. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Kingsport, TN since 1969 where she sang in the choir for many years. She also taught children in Bible Clubs at church and in her home as an outreach of Bancroft Bible Ministries.

She loved her family and was always happy doing things for them. She is survived by her grandchildren, Amy Denise Boyles and her husband, Jack, Mark Alan Green; a great grandson, Bradley Alan Green and his wife, Crisida Green.

A graveside service and burial for Mrs. Green will be held at East Lawn Cemetery on Thursday (June 6, 2019) at 1 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Fortner, officiating.  Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
