Obituary of Francis Jerlenna Dingus

Francis “Gearldine” Jerlenna Dingus, 85, of Ft. Blackmore went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Francis was born on March 28, 1935 in Slant, Va. to the late Penn and Eva Tipton. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, George Dingus; special guardian, Blanche Tipton; and one sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gary Dingus and wife, Pamela; son, David Dingus and wife, Eva; son, Timothy Dingus; granddaughter, Samantha Darnell and husband Justin; grandson, Rodney Dingus and girlfriend, Jacinda Gillenwater; grandson, Jared “JD” Dingus and wife, Julia; 6 special great grandsons; and special friends, Betty Lou Laney, Doris Darnell, and Mabel Dingus.

Francis wished to only have a graveside service. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Carters Family Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore.  Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:50 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Farmers and Miners Bank to help with burial expenses.
