Obituary of Johnny Mack Noe

Gate City – Johnny Mack Noe, 68 of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S Air Force having served in Germany and Honduras.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Agnes Clark Noe; brothers, Pete Parsons, F. C. Parsons and Rev. Eddie Noe, Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Frances Lane.

 

Johnny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patsy Lane Noe of the home; daughter, Rebecca Noe of Church Hill; 2 grandsons, whom he loved dearly, Isaiah Noe and Gavin Roop; sisters, Linda (Raymond) Lane and Ruth Ann (Freddie) Carr; brother, Jerry (Allison) Noe; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Brenda Noe.

 

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, December 9, 2019 at Scott County Funeral Home.

 

A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lennis France officiating. Music will be provided by Nancy Peters and Ronnie Tipton.

 

A military graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Tiptons Chapel Church Cemetery with the American Legion Hammond Post #3/265 conducting the rites. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 am to go in procession to the cemetery Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

 

Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Noe family.
